Both Sheng Hong Group and Han’s Group participate in a National Lingerie Showcase event.
Representing Han’s Group, Li Yan Shu designs a lingerie piece that looks exactly like the one that Sheng Hong Group’s designer, Zhu Dan, has produced for the lingerie showcase event.
Gu Cheng Ze believes Zhu Dan is telling the truth when she confirms the one Li Yan Shu designed is a copy of her design.
But, it’s Zhu Dan who copied, not Li Yan Shu.
Zhu Dan was originally a Han’s Group employee, but she becomes a Sheng Hong Group employee after she succeeded in getting the job Sheng Hong Group advertised for a designer for Sheng Hong Group’s online shopping platform, New Face. In this interview, Zhu Dan presented her own designs. She also presented phone captures of the lingerie design sketches belonging to Li Yan Shu of the lingerie piece Gu Cheng Ze is accusing Li Yan Shu of plagiarising.
But according to Gu Cheng Ze, Li Yan Shu is the liar. He doesn’t direct the accusation of plagiarism towards Zhu Dan. It’s all towards Li Yan Shu as soon as Zhu Dan confirmed Li Yan Shu’s design to be a copy of her design. It’s that, in the handful of encounters Gu Cheng Ze has had with Li Yan Shu, she has come across as someone who deceives. Gu Cheng Ze realises Li Yan Shu was that girl in the café who lied about him being someone she rejected. She was also the girl he accidentally caused to tumble to the ground. This encounter had Gu Cheng Ze feel she made him believe she was hearing impaired so she could scam money out of him.
Li Yan Shu sees Gu Cheng Ze is unfairly accusing her of plagiarism when she argues against his view of the evidence being right in front of them. What’s in front of them isn’t evidence and he didn’t see with his own eyes that she’d copied the lingerie piece that Zhu Dan supposedly designed. Gu Cheng Ze gives Li Yan Shu a chance to clear herself from this accusation. He asks Li Yan Shu to look into his eyes and say she hadn’t copied. Li Yan Shu tells Gu Cheng Ze to direct this towards Zhu Dan.
Li Yan Shu:
Why don’t you test her? She’s the liar.
Zhu Dan is very quick to stop this from happening. She slaps away the finger that Li Yan Shu points towards her and continues to take the position of a victim of plagiarism.
Zhu Dan:
Li Yan Shu, we’re both designers. We judge and compare. You actually plagiarised and then attack me without reason?”
This scene gathers the attention of the press present in the lingerie showcase event. Media cameras, lights and microphone all go towards Li Yan Shu. They ask her what was happening.

Gu Cheng Ze fails to recognise Li Yan Shu in their second meeting
Gu Cheng Ze tends to Li Yan Shu after accidentally causing her to tumble to the ground from driving past her. Without the fiery hair and smudged makeup, Gu Cheng Ze doesn’t recognise Li Yan Shu to be the person he’d met once already. In this scene, Gu Cheng Ze is made to believe Li Yan Shu is hearing impaired when she doesn’t respond to anything he says. She doesn’t respond to him offering to take her to the hospital. She also doesn’t speak when he offers Li Yan Shu a sum of money for the hospital fee or the business card he gives to her for her to contact him if there is a need to. The sum of money, Li Yan Shu accepts. However, Gu Cheng Ze sees Li Yan Shu throw away his business card.
Gu Jin Yun signs collaboration deal between Sheng Hong Group and Han’s Group
Han Jun Yao manages to get the heir of Sheng Hong Group and COO of New Face, Gu Jin Yun, to agree to and sign the collaboration between their two companies on Sheng Hong’s online shopping platform, New Face. Han Jun Yao succeeds through agreeing to provide Gu Jin Yun information on Li Yan Shu. After successfully getting it signed, Han Jun Yao hands the signed contract to Gu Cheng Ze.
Zhu Dan succeeds Sheng Hong Group interview with Li Yan Shu’s design sketches
In the interview, Zhu Dan presented her own work and those phone captures of Li Yan Shu’s design sketches for the lingerie piece that we see Sheng Hong Group and Han’s Group put up for the lingerie showcase event. Gu Cheng Ze queried about the difference in style. Zhu Dan managed to explain this with how changes in life and different experiences and influences alters a person’s style.
We’re shown how Zhu Dan came to obtain Li Yan Shu’s design for the lingerie piece. It was during when Li Yan Shu was showing Han Jun Yao she was on top of things after coming into work late from the ankle injury she sustained from her encounter with Gu Cheng Ze. Some time after work, Zhu Dan snuck into Li Yan Shu’s office and took pictures of the sketches.
Unpleasantness between Li Yan Shu and Gu Cheng Ze again
Gu Cheng Ze and Li Yan Shu encounter each other before the start of the national lingerie showcase event. Gu Cheng Ze recognises Li Yan Shu as the person he accidentally injured when his car brought her to tumble to the ground. He accuses Li Yan Shu of pretending to be hearing impaired so to get money out of him. Li Yan Shu’s irritable response of having not pretended in any way and felt nothing was wrong with taking his money he offered has Gu Cheng Ze wonder why he was getting this attitude from her. Li Yan Shu’s answer was irritation and arrogance: she’s afraid he’ll be dazed by her beauty.
Li Yan Shu accused of plagiarising Zhu Dan’s design
Gu Cheng Ze seeing Li Yan Shu as a liar seemingly helped Zhu Dan quite some bit from being questioned by Gu Cheng Ze. Zhu Dan is a new recruit of Sheng Hong Group and a former employee of Han’s Group. We feel that had Gu Cheng Ze not had a biased view against Li Yan Shu, maybe when Li Yan Shu said for Gu Cheng Ze to test Zhu Dan, we may have seen him go test Zhu Dan and Li Yan Shu. And then, Zhu Dan wouldn’t be so comfortable standing there pointing the finger at Li Yan Shu as being the one who plagiarised.
